چکیده

در این تحقیق جنبه‌های فانتستیک آثار تئوفیل گوتیه مورد بررسی قرار می‌گیرند. در آثار گوتیه زمان دارای اهمیت بسیاری است و بیشتر در خواننده عدم اطمینان، ترس و تعلیق را بر می انگیزد. در واقع نویسنده در مقابل گذر زمان و مرگ ترس خود را آشکار می کند. بنابراین زمان نقشی‌ تعیین کننده در تخیّل تئوفیل گوتیه دارد. برای بررسی دنیای تخیلی‌ نویسنده از روش ژیلبر دوران استفاده شده است. مطالعات ژیلبر دوران در حوزه نقد تخیلی‌ در اثر معروف او ساختارهای انسان شناسی‌ قوه تخیّل معرفی‌ شده است. او در جستجوی ثابت‌های تصاویر هنری است.بنابر این به سؤالات زیر چنین پاسخ دادیم : آیا گوتیه ترس خود را از زمان و مرگ نشان می دهد؟ آیا گوتیه موفق میشود زمان را تحت کنترل خویش درآورد؟  لذا به وسیله این رویکرد به این نتیجه دست یافتیم که تئوفیل گوتیه هم به عنوان یک انسان نسبت به مسالهٔ زمان واکنش نشان می دهد و تمایل به یک زندگی‌ جاودان دارد.

The Fear of Time in the Works of Téophile Gautier

چکیده [English]

This paper will study the fantastic aspects of Théophile Gautier's writing. In Gautier's works, time is of high significance and invokes feelings of uncertainty, fear and suspense in the reader. In fact, through his writing, the author reveals his personal fear of the passage of time, as well as death. Therefore, time has a defining role in the imagination of Gautier. In examining the imaginary world of the author, the Gilbert Durand method has been applied. Gilbert Durand's critique of the imaginary is reflected in his renowned work, Les Structures anthropologiques de l'imaginaire (The Anthropological Structures of the Imaginary). He looks for the common points in artistic images. Therefore, we searched for an answer to the following questions: Does Gautier shows his fear of time and death? Does Gautier manage to take charge of time? As a result, through such approach, we came to the conclusion that Théophile Gautier also reacts to the problem of time and is interested in having an eternal life.
