چکیده

فرانکشتاین یا پرومتئوس مدرن نوشته مری شلی در اوایل قرن نوزدهم، یک رمان علمی تخیلی به سبک گوتیک است. در این رمان، ظهور موجودی معصوم که هیچ نقشی در خلق خود نداشته و با اینکه اعمالش شیطانی می‌شود، با اغماض خواننده قابل درک است، محور رمان را تشکیل می‌دهد. حضور پرومتئوس در عنوان رمان، روایت‌های مختلفی از اسطوره آفرینش یونانی را به ذهن متبادر می کند، از جمله نسخه پرومتئوس تیتان، خالق انسان، و زئوس، خالق انسان، که پرومته برای کمک به این موجود عاری از هرگونه وسیله ای برای بقا، از این خدا اطاعت نکرد. با این حال، نام پرومتئوس فقط در عنوان آن دیده می شود و هیچ جای دیگر.از سوی دیگر، در اواخر همان قرن، آندره ژید اثری پیچیده با عنوان جنجالی پرومتئوس سخت زنجیر شده، آفرید که شامل چندین شخصیت وام گرفته شده از اسطوره اشیل و نوشته های عاشقانه گوته و شلی بود. تا آنجا که این نوشته تعابیر متفاوتی را به وجود می آورد که مخالف یا موافق با اسطوره، قهرمان قربانی و قهرمان سرکش و رهایی یافته است. سؤالی که از خود پرسیدیم مربوط به این ظهور در میانه رمانتیسم انگلیسی در آغاز قرن نوزدهم است، سپس در اواخر همان قرن، زمانی که نویسندگان متاثر از رمانتیسم پلی به سمبولیسم می‌زنند: دلیل آن چیست؟ در این تحقیق سعی خواهیم کرد با تکیه بر روش مطالعه‌ی کتابخانه‌ای و تحلیل گفتمان به این سوال پاسخ دهیم.

Presence of the Promethean myth in the 19th c: Frankenstein or modern Prometheus by Shelley, Prometheus Illbound by Gide

چکیده English

Frankenstein or Modern Prometheus written by Mary Shelley in the early 19th century is a gothic-style science fiction novel. In this novel, the creation and the appearance of an innocent creature who played no part in its creation, whose actions are satanic but at the same time understood by the reader's indulgence, constitute the heart of the novel. Prometheus's intervention in the novel's title brings to mind various versions of the Greek creation myth, including that of Prometheus the Titan, creator of man, and that of Zeus, creator of man, whom Prometheus disobeyed to help this creature devoid of any means of survival. However, Prometheus' name only appears in the title and nowhere else. On the other hand, towards the end of the same century, André Gide produced a complicated work, with the transgressive title of Prometheus Illbound, containing several characters borrowed from the Aeschylean myth and the romantic writings of Goethe and Shelley; so much so that this writing gives rise to different interpretations opposed or identical to the myth, those of the sacrificed hero and those of the rebellious and liberated hero. The question we asked ourselves concerns this appearance in the middle of English Romanticism at the beginning of the 19th century, then towards the end of the same century, when writers influenced by Romanticism made the bridge to Symbolism: what is the reason? Our methodological support will be documentary research in the library and discourse analysis.
